Olympic lifting may be the best exercise in training for football, basketball, baseball, track & field, soccer, lacrosse, and more. Olympic lifting requires speed, strength, balance, and explosiveness that is unparalleled by any other movement.

There have been several studies done that show that the Olympic lifts greatly improve vertical jump. There was even a study done during one Olympic games that showed that when comparing athletes with similar weights, the Olympic lifters had the highest vertical jump of all the athletes in that Olympic games!
